Roots to Resilience SEL provides in-home, one-on-one social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions designed to support children’s emotional and social development. Our services are not therapeutic or clinical, but educational and developmental—designed to complement therapy or counseling when needed. By tailoring each lesson to the child’s individual goals and needs, we ensure meaningful progress through a nurturing, preventative approach.

“Strong Roots, Resilient Futures”

Our Mission Statement

At Roots to Resilience SEL, our mission is to help children develop essential social-emotional skills through personalized, one-on-one learning experiences. Tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, our services can be short-term or long-term, depending on the support required and the goals of the child. Provided in the comfort of the child’s home, we work closely with each child to build a trusting relationship and provide proactive support that fosters emotional intelligence, resilience, and positive social interactions. Our services complement existing therapy or counseling, and our lessons and foundational approach are rooted in the CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) framework, ensuring that each child receives research-backed, comprehensive support in navigating emotions, relationships, and challenges. We are here to guide, nurture, and empower each child on their journey to emotional and social success, building the skills necessary for lifelong resilience and healthy social development.

Unique

At Roots to Resilience SEL, we are pioneering a much-needed service that does not currently exist in most communities—personalized, one-on-one social-emotional learning (SEL) coaching for children in a home-based environment. While SEL is widely recognized as essential for child development, it is often only available in school settings, group formats, or as part of therapy. We are changing that.

2

Value

A Ground-Level, Innovative Service: Roots to Resilience SEL is bridging the gap between traditional education, mental health support, and everyday social-emotional development. This one-on-one coaching approach is designed to meet kids where they are—both developmentally and physically—in a setting that fosters comfort, trust, and personalized growth.

3

Proposition

Normalizing SEL as Essential, Not Just Reactive: Social-emotional skills should be taught and strengthened before challenges arise, not just in response to behavioral issues. Our proactive, skill-building model helps children develop resilience, emotional intelligence, and confidence in a non-clinical, supportive environment.

A Missing Piece in Child Development Support:

There are many educational and therapeutic services, but few focus exclusively on SEL coaching outside of therapy. Our approach is designed for children who need guidance in self-awareness, emotional regulation, and social skills, but may not require clinical intervention. We offer supportive, inclusive services for neurodivergent learners and older students who may be at an early developmental stage in their social-emotional growth, ensuring that social-emotional learning is accessible and beneficial to everyone who needs it.

Collaboration Over Isolation:

Unlike therapy or school-based programs that operate in silos, we encourage teamwork between parents, teachers, and therapists to provide a holistic, reinforced approach that leads to long-term success.
